What is tantric massage

A clear introduction to a practice that is often misunderstood: its origin, its approach and what actually happens in a session.

An approach based on mindfulness

Tantric massage draws on traditions that focus on awareness of the body and the breath. In contemporary practice this means slow sessions with gentle touch and plenty of presence.

It is not a technique for reaching a particular result but a form of attention: feeling what is there, without rush or judgement.

How it differs from a conventional massage

A conventional massage usually focuses on specific muscles and tension. Here the pace is slower, breathing is an active part of the session and the atmosphere matters as much as the touch.

  • Unhurried, continuous pace.
  • Guided breathing.
  • A conversation beforehand about limits and expectations.
  • A carefully kept space: light, temperature, scent and music.
